Website design for painters

# Painting contractor website design that *keeps your crews booked*

Before anyone lets a painting crew into their home, they want to see walls like theirs done cleanly, a sense of how carefully you prep, and a price without three phone calls. We build your painting contractor website around interior, exterior and commercial work, with estimate requests that ask for room counts and photos. The Website launch covers it for $499, payable once you've approved a free first draft.

[Start your site](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors/start?plan=launch_small) [See the work](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors/work)

- Free first draft
- Fixed price from $499
- Pay only at launch

We usually recommend the [Website launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors#prices): up to 5 pages, $499 once.

## What a painting company website needs

Interior, exterior and commercial work, color consultations, prep and warranty in your words, and estimates with room counts and photos.

- **Interior, exterior and commercial, each said plainly** Interior work (walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets), exterior work (siding, trim, decks, fences, stain) and commercial jobs (offices, shops, apartment turnovers, HOA repaints), each described in the words people search with and shown with photos of that kind of job.
- **Color consultations, explained** If you help clients choose colors, say how: a visit with fan decks, large samples painted on the wall, a palette drawn from the paint line you use. Say whether it's free, paid or credited toward the job, so it reads as a reason to book rather than a sales pitch.
- **Estimate requests with room counts and photos** How many rooms, which surfaces (walls, ceilings, trim, cabinets), ceiling heights, how many stories outside and a few photos, plus when they'd like the work done. Simple interior repaints can often be priced from that alone; the rest arrive ready for a walkthrough.
- **Prep and warranty in your words** What your crew does before the first coat (moving and covering furniture, patching, caulking, sanding, priming) and how you leave the room, then what your warranty covers and for how long, exactly as you give it to us. Prep is where homeowners see the difference between two bids.
- **Lead-safe work in older homes** Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint, and the EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule generally requires firms that disturb that paint for paid work to be lead-safe certified. If you are, the certification sits on every page; if you don't take that work, the site says so.
- **A schedule that follows the weather** Exterior painting runs on temperature and rain, so the home page says when you're booking exteriors and when interiors are the better ask. On the care plan, changing that seasonal line is one of the 4 small edits a month.

## The pages a painting company site usually has

- Home
- Interior and cabinet painting
- Exterior and commercial painting
- Projects and color consultations
- About, warranty and free estimate

### Which plan fits

Most painting companies win the job on a handful of pages: interior and exterior work, commercial jobs, the projects that prove it, and an estimate request. Add cabinet refinishing, a page per town or a full commercial section, and the Pro launch fits better. That's the **Website launch**: up to 5 pages for $499, paid once when you launch.

### What we link

Estimates, proposals, crew schedules and invoices stay in the painting or field service software you already use; the estimate button can open its request form, or ours can send the details to your inbox. Your Google reviews, and your financing partner for whole-house exteriors, sit one tap away.

## What to get right

- **Rooms that could be anyone's** Stock living rooms in soft light say nothing about your crew. Your own photos, including close-ups of a crisp cut line along the ceiling and clean trim, show the care homeowners are paying for.
- **A warranty that sounds bigger than it is** A paint can's "lifetime" label covers the paint, not your labor. We write your workmanship warranty as you set it, with what it covers and what it doesn't, so nobody is surprised at a callback.
- **"Free estimates" and no other detail** Someone comparing bids wants to know what's in yours: how many coats, which paint line, whether ceilings and trim are included. Say what a standard job includes and your bid becomes the easy one to compare.
- **Commercial clients sent to a homeowner's form** Property managers and businesses want to know you can work after hours or in phases, send a certificate of insurance and handle repeat unit turnovers. A commercial section with its own request keeps those jobs from looking like a bedroom repaint.

## How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

1. 5 minutes **Tell us about your business** The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.
2. 5 to 7 business days **Get your free first draft** Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.
3. When you're ready **Approve, pay and launch** Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

## Questions about painting company websites

**How much does a website for a painting company cost?**

Most painting companies start with the Website launch: $499 once for up to 5 pages, after a free first draft you approve. If you want a page per service, for cabinets, decks or each town you work in, the Pro launch ($999) gives you up to 15 pages. We write the words for every page, on every launch. Hosting, your domain and 4 small edits a month are the optional care plan, $49 a month. [Every price, side by side](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors#prices).

**Can customers get a painting estimate from photos?**

Often, for interiors. The request asks for the number of rooms, which surfaces, ceiling heights and a few photos, so you can send a range for a simple repaint and save the walkthrough for exteriors and bigger jobs. You decide which jobs you'll price that way, and the page says so.

**Should we offer color consultations on our website?**

If you offer them, yes. Say who does them, whether they're free or credited against the job, and what happens at one: samples on the wall, a palette in the brand you use, a written color schedule room by room. We describe only what you actually do.

**What should a painter's website say about prep and warranty?**

What your crew does before painting and after, and what your warranty covers and for how long, in your words. Specific beats grand: "we patch, sand and prime every repair" tells a homeowner more than "quality you can trust".

**Does a painting contractor need a license number on the website?**

It depends on the state. California, for one, licenses painters under its C-33 classification and expects the number in advertising, and other states and cities have rules of their own. Wherever you hold a license, the number goes on every page with your insurance, and you approve each page before launch.

**When should a painting company update its website for the season?**

Before the exterior season opens, and again as it closes: first a line saying you're booking spring and summer exteriors, then one inviting winter interiors. On the care plan each change is a small edit; send us a note and we make it.
