Website design for remodelers

# Remodeling website design, *room by room*

Homeowners planning a kitchen or bath remodel want three answers before they call: have you done rooms like mine, how long will we live with the dust, and roughly what will it cost. We build your remodeling website around them, with galleries by room, your process and the budget ranges you share. Galleries for every room need the Pro launch, $999, paid once a free first draft has your approval.

We usually recommend the [Pro launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors#prices): up to 15 pages, $999 once.

## What a remodeling company website needs

Kitchens and baths in galleries by room, your process week by week, budget ranges you set, and a design consultation request.

- **Galleries by room, captioned with the scope** Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and whole-home remodels each in their own gallery, with the town, what changed (a wall opened, the sink moved to the island, a tub turned into a walk-in shower) and how long the crew was on site. Before-and-after pairs shot from the same corner, so the change reads at a glance.
- **Your process, phase by phase** What happens from the first visit to the final walkthrough: consultation, design and selections, permits, demolition, rough-in, inspections, finishes and the punch list, with the weeks each phase usually takes in your own numbers. Add what living through it is like: which rooms stay usable, when the water's off, how you keep the dust contained.
- **A design consultation people can prepare for** Whether the first meeting is free or credited toward the project, how long it lasts, who comes, and what to have ready: photos of the room, rough measurements, a few pictures of kitchens or baths they love. A homeowner who arrives prepared is closer to signing.
- **Budget ranges you supply** Ranges for a typical kitchen or bathroom in your market, in your figures, with what moves a project up or down: relocating plumbing, custom or stock cabinets, structural changes, the tile they fall for. We never put a number on the site that didn't come from you.
- **Permits and inspections, said plainly** Whether you pull the permits and book the inspections, which jobs need them where you work, and your license and insurance beside the consultation button. People remodeling for the first time worry about unpermitted work more than almost anything else.
- **A consultation request that sorts the projects** The room, the town, a rough start date, a budget range and a few photos of the space as it is now, so you can tell a full kitchen gut from a vanity swap before you call back.

## Sample sites we've designed

Sample sites for made-up businesses, designed to show what we do: open one on your phone and try it. On your site, booking and payment buttons open the tools you already use.

## The pages a remodeling company site usually has

- Home
- Kitchen remodeling
- Bathroom remodeling
- Basements and additions
- Whole-home remodels
- Project gallery by room
- Our process and timeline
- Design consultations
- Budgets and financing
- About, licenses and insurance
- Reviews
- Request a consultation

### Which plan fits

Remodelers usually want a page and a gallery for each room they take on (kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions), plus pages for the process, design consultations and budgets, which is more than a small site holds. That's the **Pro launch**: up to 15 pages for $999, paid once when you launch.

### What we link

Selections, schedules, change orders and client updates stay in the project software your team already runs. The site links your client portal's sign-in, your Houzz profile and reviews and your lender's application, and the consultation button opens the calendar you book from.

- Buildertrend
- JobTread
- Houzz
- Calendly
- Google Business Profile
- Your financing partner

## What to get right

- **Before-and-afters that aren't your work** Showroom photos, a cabinet maker's catalog or a former employer's jobs passed off as yours mislead homeowners, and one reverse image search gives them away. Every room in your gallery is one your company remodeled; any product image is labeled for what it is.
- **Timelines you can't keep** Promise a kitchen in a few weeks and every delay becomes a broken promise. We write the ranges you give us, together with what stretches them: permit reviews, special-order cabinets and whatever turns up behind the drywall.
- **"Call for pricing" and nothing else** Homeowners who can't tell whether you fit their budget often book whoever gave them a range. Your ranges, with what changes them, keep the first conversation about the project instead of the price.
- **Homes that can be found from the photos** A finished kitchen with the house number in the window, a street sign through the glass or family photos on the fridge shows more than it should. Ask homeowners before you show their home, and we crop out anything that gives the address or the family away.

## How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

1. 5 minutes **Tell us about your business** The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.
2. 5 to 7 business days **Get your free first draft** Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.
3. When you're ready **Approve, pay and launch** Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

## Questions about remodeling company websites

**How much does a remodeling website cost?**

Most remodelers choose the Pro launch, $999 once for up to 15 pages: a page per room, your process and your consultation. You pay it only once you've approved a free first draft. We write the words for every page, on every launch. A design-build firm with a showroom, many rooms and several towns may need a [custom quote](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors/start?plan=custom). The optional care plan, $49 a month, hosts the site on your domain with 4 small edits a month, enough to add each finished project. [Compare every plan](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors#prices).

**Should a remodeling company put prices on its website?**

Ranges, yes, if you're comfortable sharing them. A typical range for a bathroom in your area, with what pushes it higher, helps homeowners decide whether to book a consultation. We use only the figures you give us, and changing them when your costs move is a small edit.

**Can we show before-and-after photos of our projects?**

Yes, as long as they're your company's work and the homeowners are happy for you to share them. Shoot the after from the same spot as the before and we line the pair up so visitors can drag between them, as on our [kitchen and bath sample](https://ciderwebsites.com/contractors/work).

**Can homeowners book a design consultation online?**

Yes. We link the calendar you already book from, such as Calendly, or add a short request form that asks the room, the timing and the budget range so you choose who to meet. Either way the request reaches you directly.

**Do kitchens and bathrooms each need their own page?**

Usually, yes. People search for kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling separately, and a page each can show its own gallery, process notes and budget range. Basements, additions and whole-home work can share a page until you want more of that kind of job.

**Can the website link our client portal?**

Yes. If your project software gives clients a portal, as Buildertrend and JobTread do, we put a sign-in link in the header for current clients. We don't build a portal of our own: selections and change orders stay where your team manages them.
