Website design for oral surgeons

# Oral surgery website design for *referrals and recoveries*

An oral surgery website serves two audiences: referring dentists, who want to send a case in a minute, and their patients, who want to know what the surgery, the sedation and the days after will be like. We design for both, with a page per procedure and a referral page of its own. That's the Pro launch: $999, and nothing is due before you've approved a free first draft.

- Free first draft
- Fixed price from $499
- Pay only at launch

We usually recommend the [Pro launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/dentists#prices): up to 15 pages, $999 once.

## What an oral surgery practice website needs

A referral page dentists can use in a minute, procedures and sedation explained plainly, and aftercare patients can find at midnight.

- **A page for referring dentists** How to refer, with a button to the secure referral form or system you already use, a referral pad to download, what to send with a referral and how your office reports back. The site links your system; x-rays and patient details never pass through the website.
- **Procedures explained, one page each** Dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, extractions, bone grafting and any jaw surgery you perform: what it is, how the appointment goes, how long recovery usually takes in your experience, and what patients ask before they book. A page about one procedure is what a nervous patient searching for it finds.
- **Sedation and anesthesia in your words** The options you offer, from local anesthetic to IV sedation and general anesthesia, who provides them, what fasting and a ride home involve, and the permits you hold if you'd like them shown. We use your practice's own wording, unchanged.
- **Pre-op and post-op instructions people can find** Your instructions for before and after surgery as pages that read well on a phone and print cleanly, with your after-hours number at the top. A patient at home after surgery shouldn't have to hunt for the sheet they were handed.
- **A first visit referred patients can plan for** Referred patients often arrive anxious and not quite sure why they've been sent. A short page says what happens at the consultation, what to bring, how your forms work (a link to your own system), where to park and how long it takes.
- **Fees, insurance and financing** How dental and medical insurance can apply to surgery, the financing you offer and what a consultation costs, in the terms you choose to publish, so the question is answered before the phone rings.

## Sample sites we've designed

Sample sites for made-up businesses, designed to show what we do: open one on your phone and try it. On your site, booking and payment buttons open the tools you already use.

## The pages an oral surgery practice site usually has

- Home
- Dental implants
- Wisdom teeth removal
- Extractions and bone grafting
- Sedation and anesthesia
- Before your surgery
- After your surgery
- For referring dentists
- Fees, insurance and financing
- Our surgeons
- Offices and hours

### Which plan fits

An oral surgery practice usually needs a page for each main procedure, plus sedation, instructions for before and after surgery, a page for referring dentists and one for each office. That's the **Pro launch**: up to 15 pages for $999, paid once when you launch.

### What we link

Referrals, scheduling, patient forms and financing stay in the systems your practice already runs, and the site's buttons open them: your practice software's referral and booking pages, your secure forms and your financing provider. The website never collects patient details or images, and if you change providers we change the link.

- WinOMS
- OMSVision
- NexHealth
- CareCredit
- Google Business Profile

## What to get right

- **Referrals that land in a website inbox** A general contact form for referrals invites a dental office to email x-rays and patient details through a website that shouldn't hold them. We link the secure referral form or system you already use, and put a direct line for referring offices beside it.
- **Recovery promises** "Painless", "no downtime" or "back to work tomorrow" are promises no surgeon can make for every patient. We describe the procedure and the recovery the way you explain them at the consultation, and leave results unpromised.
- **A title the surgeon doesn't hold** Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a recognized specialty, and the ADA's ethics code and state boards limit who may announce it. Each surgeon's title, board certification and training appear exactly as you give them; a general dentist who places implants describes the treatment, not a specialty.
- **Patient images without authorization** Photos of a patient's face or smile, and their scans, are theirs: each needs the patient's written authorization before it appears on the site. We add only the images you confirm you have permission to use, and a site with none can still say everything a patient needs.

## How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

1. 5 minutes **Tell us about your business** The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.
2. 5 to 7 business days **Get your free first draft** Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.
3. When you're ready **Approve, pay and launch** Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

## Questions about oral surgery practice websites

**How much does an oral surgery website cost?**

Most oral surgery practices choose the Pro launch: $999 once for up to 15 pages, room for a page per procedure, sedation, instructions and referring dentists, paid only after you've approved a free first draft. Groups with several offices can ask for a [custom quote](https://ciderwebsites.com/dentists/start?plan=custom). Hosting, your domain and 4 small edits a month are the optional care plan, $49 a month. [See every price](https://ciderwebsites.com/dentists#prices).

**Can dentists send us referrals through the website?**

Through a link on it: the referral page opens the secure referral form or system your practice already uses, and offers a referral pad to download for offices that still print or fax. The website itself doesn't take x-rays or patient details, which keeps them inside the system you manage.

**Can patients book a consultation online?**

Yes, if your scheduler allows it: a Book a consultation button opens your own online scheduling, or a call button if you'd rather book surgery by phone. Either way, referred patients can read what the consultation involves before they get in touch.

**Will you write our sedation and post-op pages?**

We write the words for every page, on every launch. For sedation and the instructions before and after surgery, we work from your own sheets and keep your clinical wording exactly, because those instructions are yours to give. You approve every page before launch.

**Will patients find us when they search for wisdom teeth removal nearby?**

A page for each procedure, your offices and hours in text, and fast pages on a phone give search engines something specific to match, though nobody can promise a position in search results. The referral page matters as much, since many patients arrive through their dentist. For monthly work on search, add SEO & AEO care to the care plan.
