Website design for martial arts schools

# Martial arts website design that *books the trial class*

Parents choosing a martial arts school want to know three things: is it safe, who will teach my child, and can we try it first. Adults want the style, the schedule and a first class that won't embarrass them. We give each program its page and a trial button on the Pro launch, $999, and you see a free first draft before paying anything.

[Start your site](https://ciderwebsites.com/fitness/start?plan=launch_pro) [See the work](https://ciderwebsites.com/fitness/work)

- Free first draft
- Fixed price from $499
- Pay only at launch

We usually recommend the [Pro launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/fitness#prices): up to 15 pages, $999 once.

## What a martial arts school website needs

Kids' and adult programs side by side, the belt path explained, a trial class to book and straight answers for parents.

- **Kids and adults, kept apart** Separate pages for each age group you teach, from the youngest class to teens, with what a class looks like at that age and how long it runs. Adults get their own path by art and level, so a parent never lands on sparring footage when they were looking for a class for a six-year-old.
- **A trial class anyone can book** Free or paid, one class or a week: what the trial includes, whether you lend a uniform, what to wear, and a button that books it in your school software. Say what happens after the trial too, so nobody expects a sales pitch they didn't ask for.
- **Your belt or rank system, explained** The order of belts, stripes or grades, how promotion works in your school, whether there's a test and a testing fee, and who decides. It shows a family the path ahead, in your own words and without a timeline you can't promise.
- **Instructors, rank and lineage** Who teaches each program, their rank and who promoted them, how long they've taught, and the first aid or background checks your staff actually hold. In a martial art, lineage is part of what people are choosing.
- **Safety and parents' questions, answered** When contact and sparring start, what protective gear is required, how the mats are cleaned, how class is supervised, drop-off and pick-up, and whether parents can watch. These are the questions that decide whether a family books the trial.
- **A schedule by program** The week laid out by age group, art and level, so a parent can see the two classes that fit after school and an adult can find the early morning one. Each class links to booking in your software.

## Sample sites we've designed

Sample sites for made-up businesses, designed to show what we do: open one on your phone and try it. On your site, booking and payment buttons open the tools you already use.

## The pages a martial arts school site usually has

- Home with the trial class
- Kids' programs by age
- Teen and adult programs
- A page for each art you teach
- Belt and rank system
- Schedule
- Instructors and lineage
- Parents' questions and safety
- Memberships and the trial class
- Birthday parties and camps
- Contact and directions

### Which plan fits

A school that teaches more than one age group or art needs a page per program (little kids, kids, teens, adults), plus the belt system, the instructors, the schedule and a page that answers parents. That's the **Pro launch**: up to 15 pages for $999, paid once when you launch.

### What we link

Trial bookings, memberships, waivers, attendance and belt records stay in the school software you already run; the site's schedule and buttons open it. We never build a student area or take payments on the site, and if you change software we change the links.

- Spark Membership
- Kicksite
- Zen Planner
- Gymdesk
- Mindbody
- Google Business Profile

## What to get right

- **One page for every age** A parent reading about adult kickboxing on the way to the kids' class information often doesn't get there. Every age group gets its own page and its own trial button.
- **"Call for pricing" and nothing else** Families compare schools before they call. At the least, say what the trial costs and includes and how memberships work; you choose whether to show the monthly price.
- **Contracts nobody sees before signing** Long-term agreements, auto-renewal and cancellation can fall under state laws on health club and martial arts contracts and, for online sign-ups, the federal Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA). Your terms, in your words, belong on the memberships page and linked from the sign-up in your school software.
- **Promises a school can't keep** "Your child will never be bullied" or a black belt by a set date are claims you can't stand behind, and a parent's story has to be real, used with written permission and honest about what's typical under the FTC's Endorsement Guides. We describe what you teach and how, not outcomes.

## How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

1. 5 minutes **Tell us about your business** The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.
2. 5 to 7 business days **Get your free first draft** Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.
3. When you're ready **Approve, pay and launch** Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

## Questions about martial arts school websites

**How much does a martial arts school website cost?**

A school with several programs usually chooses the Pro launch: $999 once for up to 15 pages, paid only after you've seen a free first draft. A single-art school with one or two age groups can start with the Website launch, $499. Hosting, your domain and 4 small edits a month are the optional care plan, $49 a month. [See every price](https://ciderwebsites.com/fitness#prices).

**Can parents book a trial class online?**

Yes, through the school software you already use. Every trial button opens your booking page in Spark Membership, Kicksite, Zen Planner, Gymdesk or Mindbody, so the trial, the waiver and the family's details arrive where your front desk expects them.

**Should our belt requirements go on the website?**

The outline, yes: the order of ranks, roughly what each test covers and how promotion is decided. The detailed curriculum can stay with your students in your school software, since we don't build member areas.

**We teach jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai and kids' karate. Is that one site?**

Yes. Each art gets its own page with its schedule, its instructors and who it suits, and the home page helps a visitor pick. That is how someone searching for one of them finds the right page rather than a general one.

**What do parents look for on a martial arts website?**

Who teaches their child and their background, how safe class is and when sparring starts, a schedule that fits school hours, what the trial costs and what to wear. A clear page for parents answers those before the first visit.

**Can we take birthday parties and summer camp sign-ups?**

Yes. Parties and camps get a page with dates, ages and what's included, and a short inquiry form or a link to registration in your school software. Payments and deposits stay in your own tools.
