Worn black heavy bags hanging on chains in a dark gym, with a boxing ring lit red behind them

Boxing + strength · Port Calder

Train like a fighter. No fight required.

Boxing classes, a barbell floor and coaches who learn your name, in an old tire warehouse on Foundry Street. Never thrown a punch? Good. Your first session is on us.

01 / Programs

Four ways in.

Every class starts with a proper warm-up and ends with the coach telling you what to work on next. Pick a lane or do them all.

Boxing

Stance, footwork, the jab. Then combinations, defense and a lot of bag rounds. Contact is optional and always by invitation: nobody spars until they ask to and their coach agrees.

07 / Questions

Straight answers.

Will I get hit?

No. Classes are bags, pads and partner drills without contact. Sparring happens only in Fight Team, which is by invitation, after months of training and only if you ask for it.

I've never boxed or lifted. Is that a problem?

Most members started from zero. Begin with Boxing Fundamentals or Strength Foundations: they're built for first-timers, and your free session puts a coach next to you for the hour.

What do I need to bring?

Clothes you can sweat in, flat shoes and water. We lend gloves; hand wraps are $10 at the desk and yours to keep. Lockers take a padlock or a combination we give you.

Can my kid train here?

Ages 10 to 15 join Youth Boxing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with two coaches and no sparring. From 16, with a guardian's signature, they can join adult classes.

Can I freeze or cancel?

Month to month cancels with 30 days' notice, no fee. 12-month memberships can be frozen for up to two months a year for travel or anything else.
