Website design for plumbers

# Plumber website design for *the call that can't wait*

When a pipe bursts, a plumbing website has one job: put your number under the customer's thumb, then show that you fix this, come to their street and hold a license. We design it around the work you want more of, from drain cleaning to repiping. A page per job means the Pro launch for most plumbers: $999, payable after the free first draft passes your review.

- Free first draft
- Fixed price from $499
- Pay only at launch

We usually recommend the [Pro launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/home-services#prices): up to 15 pages, $999 once.

## What a plumbing company website needs

Emergency calls in one tap, a page for each job from drains to water heaters, your license number, and the towns you cover.

- **Tap to call, then what to do while they wait** A call button pinned to every phone screen and the number written out in the header for desktops. On the emergency page, a few plain lines in your words on finding the main shutoff valve and turning off the water heater, so a flooded kitchen stops getting worse before your van arrives.
- **A page for each job people search** Drain cleaning, water heater repair and replacement (tank and tankless), leak detection, sewer line camera inspections, repiping, sump pumps, gas lines and fixture installs, each with the signs someone needs it, what the visit involves and a call button. Someone searching "tankless water heater installation" should land on a page about exactly that.
- **Your plumbing license, as your state issues it** Your license number (master plumber, contractor or both) in the footer of every page, with your insurance and any backflow testing or gas fitting certification you hold, worded the way your licensing board words it. Homeowners letting a stranger under the sink look for it.
- **Prices the way you quote them** If you charge a service call or diagnostic fee, say what it is and whether it comes off the repair. Flat-rate prices for common jobs, or a "from" price for a water heater swap, answer the calls that only ask what it costs. We publish only the prices you give us.
- **The towns you'll drive to** Your service area as a list of towns and ZIP codes in plain text, a page for each main town if you want to be found by name, and any trip charge beyond it, so the customer two counties over finds out before dialing.
- **A request form for the jobs that can wait** For a repipe, a water heater upgrade or a remodel's rough-in, a short form that asks the fixture, the age of the home, the address and a photo of the problem, sent straight to you, or a button to the request form your scheduling software already has.

## The pages a plumbing company site usually has

- Home
- Emergency plumbing and hours
- Drains and sewer lines
- Water heaters (tank and tankless)
- Leak detection and repiping
- Fixtures, sump pumps and gas lines
- Service area, with a page per main town
- About, licenses and insurance
- Reviews
- Request a quote

### Which plan fits

Plumbers get searched job by job (drain cleaning, water heaters, leak detection, sewer lines, repiping) and town by town, so most want a page for each core service and each main town they cover. That's the **Pro launch**: up to 15 pages for $999, paid once when you launch.

### What we link

Online booking, dispatch and invoices stay in the field service software your office already runs: the site's Book online button opens it, and replacement jobs link your financing partner's application. Calls ring your own number and requests come to you, with no commission or per-lead charge from us.

- ServiceTitan
- Housecall Pro
- Jobber
- Google Business Profile
- Yelp
- Your financing partner

## What to get right

- **Leaving the license number off** California, for one, requires a contractor's license number in all advertising, websites included, and other states and cities set their own rules for plumbers. We add the number and wording you give us to every page, and nothing goes live until you've approved it.
- **"24/7" and "bonded" when they aren't true** If the site promises round-the-clock service and a night call goes to voicemail, that's the review that gets written. The same goes for "licensed, bonded and insured": we use those words only for the license, bond and insurance you actually hold.
- **A number customers can't tap** A phone number set in an image, tucked into the footer or missing its tap-to-call link sends a homeowner with water on the floor to the next plumber in the results. It belongs at the top of every screen.
- **Drains, heating and remodels on one page** A single list of services can't match searches like "sewer line replacement" or "water heater repair". A section or page for each job you want more of gives every one of those searches a clear answer.

## How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

1. 5 minutes **Tell us about your business** The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.
2. 5 to 7 business days **Get your free first draft** Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.
3. When you're ready **Approve, pay and launch** Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

## Questions about plumbing company websites

**How much does a plumbing website cost?**

Most plumbers choose the Pro launch: $999 once for up to 15 pages, enough for a page per core service and per main town, paid only after you approve a free first draft. A one-truck plumber with a few services may fit the Website launch at $499. We write the words for every page, on every launch. Hosting, your domain and 4 small edits a month are the optional care plan, $49 a month; without it, you get the site's files to host where you like. [See every price](https://ciderwebsites.com/home-services#prices).

**Do plumbers need a website if most work comes from referrals?**

Most do. A neighbor's recommendation sends people to search your name, and they want to see your license, the jobs you do, the towns you cover and a number to tap. A site also lets people who've never heard of you find you for the work you want more of, such as tankless conversions or sewer line repair.

**What should a plumbing website include?**

Tap-to-call on every screen, your emergency hours as you really run them, a page for each core service, your service area in plain text, your license and insurance, photos of your own work, a link to your reviews and a short quote form. Everything beyond that is a choice, not a must.

**Will it work with Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan?**

Yes. We don't build a second booking system: the site's Book online and Request service buttons open the booking page your software already gives you, so jobs arrive in your schedule with the customer's details. If you'd rather take every job by phone, those buttons dial you instead.

**How do I show up when someone searches for a plumber near me?**

Near-me results lean on your Google Business Profile, your reviews and how close the searcher is, and your site backs them up with a page per service, your towns in words and the same name, address and phone everywhere. Nobody can promise where you'll appear. For ongoing work on it, add SEO & AEO care to the care plan.

**We also do heating and cooling. Do we need two sites?**

Not usually. One site with plumbing and heating sections keeps your name, number and reviews in one place; what changes is the services and the seasonal message. Read [what a heating and cooling site needs](https://ciderwebsites.com/home-services/hvac) before we plan the pages together.
