Website design for pizzerias

# Pizza shop and pizzeria websites that *get the order in*

A pizzeria website mostly has one job: get the order in, by the shortest route, to the ordering system you already run. We design yours around the menu, your delivery area and hours, and this week's deals, with every Order button linked to Toast, Slice, ChowNow, Square or whatever you use. The Website launch costs $499, and you pay it when you launch, not before.

- Free first draft
- Fixed price from $499
- Pay only at launch

We usually recommend the [Website launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/restaurants#prices): up to 5 pages, $499 once.

## What a pizzeria website needs

An Order button that opens your own ordering, delivery zones in plain words, specials that match the register, and party trays.

- **An Order button that's always in reach** *Order now* on the first screen and on a bar that stays on the phone's screen, opening your own ordering page on Toast, Slice, ChowNow, Square or whichever you run. Pickup and delivery both start there, and tickets print on the same tablet or printer they do today.
- **Delivery zones and hours, in plain words** The neighborhoods or ZIP codes you deliver to, the minimum order and the delivery fee as your ordering system charges them, and delivery hours set apart from pickup and dine-in, late weekend nights included. Someone outside the zone should find that out before they start an order, not after.
- **Specials that match the register** Lunch slices, the weeknight two-pie deal, game-day bundles and the pie of the month, worded to match what your ordering system actually rings up. A deal on the site that the register doesn't know about is an argument on the phone waiting to happen.
- **Catering trays and big orders** Party trays, sheet pizzas, salads and wings by the tray, with how many each feeds in your own numbers, the lead time you need and pickup or delivery. A short inquiry asks for the date, the headcount and the drop-off address, for the office lunches, school events and team parties that can make a slow Tuesday.
- **A menu that reads like your menu** Pies by style and size, build-your-own toppings and their prices, slices, sides and drinks, as text a phone and a search engine can both read. If you offer a gluten-free crust, it's described the way you describe it, with a note about the shared oven and the flour in the air if that's how your kitchen works.
- **A page for every shop** Each location gets its own address, phone, hours, delivery area and ordering link, and a picker on the first screen sends people to the nearest one. Nobody on the north side should end up ordering from the south shop by mistake.

## Sample sites we've designed

Sample sites for made-up businesses, designed to show what we do: open one on your phone and try it. On your site, booking and payment buttons open the tools you already use.

## The pages a pizzeria site usually has

- Home with the Order button
- Menu (pies, slices, sides and drinks)
- Delivery area and hours
- Specials, catering and party trays
- About the shop and location

### Which plan fits

A single pizza shop says it all on a handful of pages: the menu, ordering with the delivery area and hours, specials and catering, and the story of the shop with its address. That's the **Website launch**: up to 5 pages for $499, paid once when you launch.

### What we link

Ordering, payments and delivery dispatch stay in the system behind your counter, and every Order button on the site opens it. We take no commission on orders, and if you move from one ordering service to another, we change the link.

- Toast
- Slice
- ChowNow
- Square
- Google Business Profile

## What to get right

- **An Order button that opens a marketplace** When the main button sends regulars to a delivery app, they land on a list of other pizzerias and you pay that app's commission on an order that was already yours. The site's button should open your own ordering; the apps can keep bringing in people who haven't found you yet.
- **A delivery area nobody can check** *We deliver to most of the city* starts phone calls, cold pies and refunds. A list of neighborhoods or ZIP codes, the same one your ordering system uses, settles it before the order goes in.
- **Last month's deal still on the home page** A special that ended weeks ago but still shows gets honored at a loss or argued about at the counter. Specials that change get an end date on the page, and the care plan's small edits take them down on time.
- **Drink deals your state doesn't allow** Rules on advertising discounted beer and wine are set state by state, and a few states ban happy-hour pricing outright. We write drink specials in the wording you confirm is allowed where you are, or leave them off the site.

## How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

1. 5 minutes **Tell us about your business** The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.
2. 5 to 7 business days **Get your free first draft** Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.
3. When you're ready **Approve, pay and launch** Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

## Questions about pizzeria websites

**How much does a pizza shop website cost?**

Most single-shop pizzerias choose the Website launch: $499 once for up to 5 pages, paid only after you've approved a free first draft. Hosting, your domain and 4 small edits a month (new specials, holiday hours) are the optional care plan, $49 a month or $490 a year; without it we don't host the site, and you get its files. [Every plan and price is listed](https://ciderwebsites.com/restaurants#prices).

**Can I add online ordering without switching my POS?**

Usually, yes. Toast and Square come with their own online ordering, and services like Slice and ChowNow run alongside many points of sale; whether one sends tickets straight into your register or to its own tablet is a question for that service. The website only needs a link, so we connect whichever you choose and your register stays as it is.

**Do we need our own site if we're already on DoorDash and Uber Eats?**

The apps help new people find you, but every order through them pays the app's commission and puts your menu next to your competitors'. Your own site, with an Order button to your own ordering, gives regulars a direct way in. Many pizzerias keep both: the apps for reach, the site for the people who already know your pie.

**We have more than one shop. Does each get its own page?**

Yes: each shop gets its own page with its address, hours, phone, delivery area and ordering link, and the home page asks which one is nearest. Up to 15 pages fit the [Pro launch](https://ciderwebsites.com/restaurants/start?plan=launch_pro), enough for several shops with their own pages; bigger groups get a [custom quote](https://ciderwebsites.com/restaurants/start?plan=custom).

**Can people order catering trays from the website?**

They can order trays through your ordering system if it sells them, or send a catering inquiry with the date, headcount and address that comes straight to you. We add the tray sizes and how many each feeds in your numbers, and the lead time you need.
