02EV charger planner
Which charger does your car need?
Move the sliders. We'll show how long a night's charge takes and the circuit we'd run, in plain numbers.
- A day's miles back in
- 1 hr 3 min
- 10% to 80%
- 3 hr 39 min
- Circuit we'd run
- 60 A, 240 V
Plenty: you'd be full by midnight. A 48 amp charger on a 60 amp circuit, from $1,290 installed.
Estimates assume about 3.5 miles per kWh and 90% charging efficiency. Your car's own limit may be lower.
03Panel check
Is your panel big enough for all of it?
Tick what you have now, and what you're planning. It's a rough load estimate, the same first sum we do on site.
Estimated loadof 100 A
60amps
Comfortable. Your 100 A panel has room to spare.
A rough guide only: we size panels from a proper load calculation on site, as the code requires.
04Lighting
Good light comes in layers.
Ambient light to see, task light to work, accent light to make a room feel finished. We plan all three, then put every layer on its own dimmer.
- AmbientRecessed downlights, 4 in. wafer, from $185 each
- TaskUnder-cabinet LED strips, from $420 a run
- AccentPendants and wall lights you choose, from $160 to hang
05How we work
Four steps, no loose ends.
-
1
A quote with photos
Send photos of your panel and the spot you have in mind. Most EV and lighting jobs are priced without a visit, within a working day.
-
2
Permit, pulled by us
We file the permit with the city and book the inspection. You don't fill in a form.
-
3
A day, usually one
Most chargers and panel swaps are done in a day. Power is off for as little as we can manage, and we tell you when.
-
4
Inspected, patched, labeled
We meet the inspector, patch the drywall, label every breaker, and send you photos of the finished work.

08Questions
Asked a lot.
Do I need a 48 amp charger, or is 32 enough?
For most drivers, 32 amps refills a day's miles in under two hours. Go to 48 if you drive a lot, have a big battery, or share one charger between two cars. The planner above shows both.
Will I need a new panel for an EV charger?
Often not. Many 100 amp homes can take a charger with a load-management device that slows charging when the dryer and oven are on. We'll tell you honestly from a photo of your panel.
Do you handle the permit and the inspection?
Always. Every job that needs a permit gets one, filed by us. We meet the inspector and give you a copy of the final sign-off.
Can you work in an old house without wrecking the walls?
Usually. We fish wire through existing cavities and attics, and when we do need an opening, we patch it smooth and ready for paint.
How soon can you come?
Small jobs and service calls within the week, EV chargers within two weeks, panel upgrades once the utility gives us a date. If something is sparking or hot, call now.
