Government filing fees are separate and paid to the government at the amounts published on the day you file; we confirm them with you first. A response to a request for evidence is included in every flat fee above. Payment plans are available on fees over $2,000.

03 · How we work

Three promises we can keep.

The government decides every case, and nobody honest can promise you a decision or a date. Here is what we can promise.

  1. One fee, agreed before we start.

No hourly meter, no surprise invoices. The flat fee covers the filing, the follow-up letters and a response to any request for evidence.

  2. A careful, complete filing.

Every application is checked by two of us before it’s sent, against a written checklist for that form. You see and sign the final version.

  3. Honest updates, in your language.

When anything changes on your case, you hear from us within two business days, in English or the language you chose at the start.

  • Kumusta

05 · Questions

Asked at every first consultation.

General information, not legal advice for your situation. That’s what the consultation is for.

Q1Can you tell me my chances?

We’ll tell you honestly what helps your case, what could get in the way, and what we’d need to see. We won’t give you a percentage, because the decision belongs to the government, not to us.

Q2How long will it take?

It depends on the filing and the office handling it, and processing times change through the year. We’ll show you the current published times for your filing at the consultation, and update you when they move.

Q3Are government filing fees included?

No. Our flat fee is for our work. Government filing fees are paid directly to the government at the published amount on the day you file, and we confirm the exact figures with you before anything is sent.

Q4Do you only work with people in California?

No. Immigration is federal law, so we help clients in every state with filings to the federal agencies, by video and secure upload. Court appearances outside California are referred to trusted colleagues.

Q5What does the $175 consultation include?

Forty-five minutes with an attorney, in your language, by video, phone or at the studio, and a short written summary afterward with your options and the flat fee for the next step. If you hire us within sixty days, the $175 comes off your fee.
