Website design for day spas

Day spa website design that feels like arriving

A spa website sells an afternoon before a treatment: what it's like to walk in, what each treatment involves, and which package to book, share or give. We design yours around your menu and your rooms, and link every Book and gift card button to your booking system. A full menu needs the Pro launch, $999, and you approve a free first draft before paying it.

  • Free first draft
  • Fixed price from $499
  • Pay only at launch

We usually recommend the Pro launch: up to 15 pages, $999 once.

What a day spa website needs

A treatment menu that describes the experience, packages and couples' visits, gift cards, and policies guests read before they arrive.

  • A treatment menu that describes the experience

Each massage, facial and body treatment with its length, its price and what happens during it: the room, the pressure, the products you use and how long guests can linger afterwards, in words about comfort rather than results. Guests choose by how a treatment sounds as much as by its price.

  • Packages and couples, easy to compare

Half-day and full-day packages with what's in each, couples' massages and the room they're in, and add-ons beside the treatments they go with, so a guest can plan a whole visit at a glance.

  • Gift cards on every page

A gift card button in the header and on the phone's first screen, opening your booking system's gift card page, with the packages that make good presents named beside it. Gift buyers are often in a hurry, so it's never more than a tap away.

  • Policies guests read before they arrive

When to arrive, what to wear and bring, cancellation and lateness rules, gratuity, age limits and whether you offer prenatal massage, on one page linked from every Book button. Anything about a guest's health is asked in your booking system's own intake forms, which the site links and never collects.

  • Booking that opens the right treatment

Book buttons beside each treatment and package, opening Boulevard, Mindbody, Vagaro or whatever you run with that service chosen where it allows, and a call button for the group bookings you'd rather take by phone.

  • A first visit guests can picture

Where to park and check in, the locker rooms, robes and relaxation areas, and how long to allow, with photos of your own rooms, so a first-time guest arrives calm rather than lost.

Sample sites for made-up businesses, designed to show what we do: open one on your phone and try it. On your site, booking and payment buttons open the tools you already use.

The pages a day spa site usually has

  • Home
  • Massage
  • Facials and skin care
  • Body treatments
  • Packages and couples' visits
  • Gift cards
  • Your visit and policies
  • About the spa and team
  • Contact, hours and directions

Which plan fits

A day spa's menu needs room: a page each for massage, facials and body treatments, plus packages and couples' visits, gift cards, your policies and first visit, and the team. That's the Pro launch: up to 15 pages for $999, paid once when you launch.

What we link

Bookings, deposits, gift cards, intake forms and memberships stay in the system your front desk already runs, and the site's buttons open it. We take no commission on bookings or gift cards, and if you change systems we change the links.

What to get right

  • Treatment claims that sound like medicine

"Removes wrinkles", "detoxifies the body" or "cures back pain" turn a spa treatment into a health claim the FTC expects you to prove, and the FDA treats a product sold to change the skin's structure as a drug. We describe how a treatment feels and what it involves, and leave cures off the menu.

  • A missing massage license number

Some states require the license number in any advertisement for massage, a website included: Florida's massage law (section 480.0465) is one. We put the numbers you give us on the massage pages and in the footer, and your state board has the final word on the wording.

  • Stock photos of someone else's spa

Smooth stones and orchids could be anywhere. Photos of your own rooms, pools and treatment beds tell guests what they're booking, and any guest who appears in one has given written permission first.

  • Gift cards hidden in the footer

In the weeks before the holidays and Mother's Day, the gift card is what many visitors came for. A button buried at the bottom of the page sends them to a spa that makes it easy.

How it works

Three steps, and most of the work is ours.

  1. 5 minutes

    Tell us about your business

The short form, or a chat with the team. Send photos, your logo, your menu: whatever you have.

  2. 5 to 7 business days

    Get your free first draft

Screenshots for computer and phone and a private preview link (2 to 3 business days with priority, overnight with rush). Ask for changes in plain words until it's right.

  3. When you're ready

    Approve, pay and launch

Pay the fixed launch fee only when you're happy. With the care plan, we put the site live on your domain and look after it; without it, we hand you the files to host yourself.

Questions about day spa websites

How much does a spa website cost?

Most day spas choose the Pro launch: $999 once for up to 15 pages, room for each part of the menu, packages, gift cards and policies, paid only after you've approved a free first draft. A small spa with a short menu can start at $499, and a resort spa or several locations can ask for a custom quote. Hosting, your domain and 4 small edits a month are the optional care plan, $49 a month. See every price.

Does it work with Boulevard, Mindbody or Vagaro?

Yes. Every treatment, package and gift card button opens your own booking system, with the service chosen where it allows, so deposits, intake forms and reminders run as they do today. We take no commission, and if you change systems we change the links.

Can you write our treatment descriptions?

Yes. We write the words for every page, on every launch. We describe what happens, how long it takes and how it feels, and steer clear of claims about wrinkles, detox or healing, which can turn a spa treatment into a medical claim. You approve every word before launch.

Do we need our massage license number on the website?

In some states, yes: Florida, for example, requires it in any advertisement for massage. Tell us your state and your license numbers and we put them where they belong; your state board's rules decide the exact wording.

Will people find us when they search for a spa near me?

A page for each kind of treatment named the way people search (couples massage, deep tissue massage, facial), your address and hours in text and a fast site on a phone all help, though nobody can promise a position in search results. For monthly work on search, add SEO & AEO care to the care plan.
